Given the position vector of the particle

Physics

With position vector

\vec r(t)=(t+1)\,\vec\imath+(t^2-1)\,\vec\jmath+2t\,vec k

the particle then has velocity

\vec v(t)=\dfrac{\mathrm d\vec r(t)}{\mathrm dt}=\vec\imath+2t\,\vec\jmath+2\,vec k

and acceleration

\vec a(t)=\dfrac{\mathrm d\vec v(t)}{\mathrm dt}=\dfrac{\mathrm d^2\vec r(t)}{\mathrm dt^2}=2\,\vec\jmath

Then t=1, then particle's velocity and acceleration are, respectively,

\vec v=\vec\imath+2\vec\jmath+2\,\vec k

and

\vec a=2\,\vec\jmath

A machine accelerates a 5 kg missile from rest to a speed of 5 km/s. The net force accelerating the missile 500,000 N. How long
Gnoma [55]
Final velocity = 5km/sec = 5000 m/sec
Initial velocity = 0, mass = 5kg and force = 500,000 N
F = m(Vf-Vi)/time
Time = m(Vf-Vi)/force = 5*5000/500000 = 0.05 seconds
So, it takes 0.05 sec to arrive at the speed of 5km/s.

Find the final velocity of a car that accelerates at +2 m/s2 for +4m from an
Stolb23 [73]

Answer:

Explanation:

according to third equation of motion

2as=vf²-vi²

vf²=2as+vi²

vf=√2as+vi²

vf=√2as+vi

vf=√2*2*4+3

vf=√16+3

vf=4+3=7

so final velocity is 7 m/s

For a closed system, entropy Group of answer choices may be produced within the system. all of the answers are correct. may be t
wolverine [178]

Answer:

The answer is: all of the answers are correct.

Explanation:

Entropy is defined as the magnitude of the irreversibilities of a process. Entropy is the disorder of molecules within a system. If the system is closed, entropy is produced if the process is irreversible. If the system is subjected to expansions or energy transfer, the entropy increases.

A process is reversible if the system and its surroundings are returned to their initial states. In a quasi-static process it is characterized by being a reversible process in which there are no irreversibilities. The entropy in this system is constant in the system.

Explain how displacement depends on intial velocity and time
Amiraneli [1.4K]

Answer:

Explanation:

displacement is the shortest distance between the initial and final position and velocity is the ratio of distance to the time taken. displacement will be zero if the body comes back to its initial position
