Mitchell left Detroit on the interstate driving south towards Orlando at a speed of 60 miles per hour. Clark left Detroit 1 hour

later traveling at a speed of 75 miles per hour, following the same route as Mitchell. How long will it take Clark to catch Mitchell? What would the equations be?

Well I know that it will take Clark 4 hours to catch up to Mitchell

Explanation: what you have to do is find the common multiple of both of them
I created a little table to explain
And each hour I would add 60 to Mitchell’s and 75 to Clark, as for the equations I’m not completely sure, but I do know that time= distance/rate which means if I were to make equations I would do 300/60=t and for Clark’s I would do 300/75=t and in this case you can find t =4, I’m not sure how right the equations are just so you know, but I know it’s 4 hours, hope this helps
