Answer:

2/5

Step-by-step explanation:

Use two corresponding sides.

In triangle A, look at the side between 1 mark and 2 marks on the angles. Its length is 10.

In triangle B, look at the side between 1 mark and 2 marks on the angles. Its length is 4.

To find the scale factor from A to B, divide a length in B by its corresponding length is A.

4/10 = 2/5

Answer: The scale factor from A to B is 2/5.

PLS HELP I WILL GOVE BRAINLIEST
Gnom [1K]

Answer:

these problems are always tough b/c they want you to translate normal thinking into math jargon  :D   soooo....

Step-by-step explanation:

they use the point slope formula... which looks like

y = y_{1} = m(x - x_{1})

where (x_{1} , y_{1} )  are the x , y coordinates of some point you're given.. sooo

they give us two points.. so we can put either one of those into the formula.. but we also have to find m.... or the slope ... to find m.. use the slope equation of

m = ( y_{2} - y_{1} ) / ( x_{2} - x_{1} )

call either point  P1  and P2 ... i'll pick the top point as P1  and bottom as P2

then

m = ( -3 -1 ) / ( 1 - 3 )

m = -4 / -2

m = 2     ( yay  :) )

now use either point and plug it into the point slope formula, i'll use P1

y - 1 = 2(x-3)   ( this is the answer they are looking for )
