Answer:

I notice that it's extremely hot after it has been sitting in thr sun for a while. The sun's rays have been directly shining on the car because the car was in the sun's Ray's directly. If the car's windows were to be left open, it would be less hot but still be hot if the rays of the sun were directly on the car.

A chemistry student weighs out 0.027 kg of an unknown solid compound X and adds it to 550. mL of distilled water at 30.° C. Afte
QveST [7]

Answer:

1. Yes

2.The solubility of X is 34.55g/L

Explanation:

Solubility of  solute refers to how readily a solute will dissolve in a solvent at a particular temperature. Its the amount of moles or grams required to saturate 1dm^{3} or 1 Litre of water.

From the problem, when the liquid was drained off and amount of X which didn't dissolve was measured, it weighed 0.008kg, this means out of 0.027kg, 0.027-0.008 actually dissolved

= 0.019kg*1000 = 19g.

if 19g is required to saturate 550mL at 30°C,

then\frac{19*1000}{550} will saturate 1L

= 34.545g  will saturate 1Litre

The solubility thus is 34.55g/L

When heating a sample to extreme heat over a flame, you will often use a crucible. Before starting the heating, you should locat
Ghella [55]

Answer:

The equipments you should have ready to start the crucible experiment includes: safety goggles, crucible with lid, crucible tong, ring support with clay triangle, Bunsen burner and heat resistant tile.

Explanation:

Crucible is an equipment in the laboratory which is suitable for heating a sample to extreme heat over a flame, Modern laboratory crucible are made up of graphite- based composite materials for achievement of higher performance. Because extreme heat is involved, you should locate the correct labware for the experiment, including the equipment to safely handle and support the crucible. These equipments includes:

--> Safety goggles: Because you will work with chemical it is advisable to use a safety goggles which protects the eyes from dangerous floating chemical aerosol.

--> crucible with lid: This is the main apparatus with the lid (cover) which is used to cover the crucible to prevent spilling of the boiling chemical.

--> Crucible tong: These are scissors like tools used to grasp hot crucible.

--> Ring support with clay triangle: the clay triangle is used to hold crucible when they are being heated. They usually sit on a ring stand.

--> Bunsen burner: Produces a single open gas flame which can be used for heating.

With the safety equipments listed above, you can carry out experiment using the crucible. These equipments helps minimise laboratory hazard that may occur should Incase it's not available.

How many grams of water at 25 C must be mixed in an insulated container with 250 grams of water at 93 C if the final temperature
nydimaria [60]

Answer:

Explanation

Comment

Normally you would just use m*c*delta T. But the c is the same in both cases, so you need just use m*deltaT

Givens

25 degrees

m = ?

T = 25

t = final temp = 75

93 degrees

m = 250

T = 93

t = final temp = 75

Solution

(t - 25)*m = (93 - t) * 250                   Remove the brackets

75*m - 25m = 93*250 -  250*75      Combine the right

m(75 - 25) = 23250 - 250*75

50 m = 23250 - 18750                      Combine

50 m = 4500                                      Divide both sides by 50

50*m/50 = 4500/50

m = 90

Answer: 90 grams are needed.
