Answer:

See Explanation for more details...

Explanation:

Solid: defined form, minimal potential energy, it is not compressible, defined mass.

Liquid: No defined form, has more potential energy than the solids, it is not compressible, defined mass.

Gas: No defined form, high potential energy, it is compressible, defined mass.

With all his gear, Neil Armstrong weighed 360 pounds on Earth. When he landed on the Moon, he weighed 60 pounds. Why?
lyudmila [28]

C. The gravity on the Moon is less than the gravity on Earth.

Explanation:

The weight of Neil Armstrong changed because the gravity on the Moon is less than the gravity on earth. We can infer that the gravity on moon is one-sixth the gravity earth.

  • Mass of Armstrong on earth and moon is the same. Mass is the quantity of matter contained in a substance. Since he has the same quantity of matter on earth and moon, his mass will be the same.

Weight is a function of mass and gravity on a body.

Since his weight reduced, we can infer that the gravity on the moon is lesser:

        Weight = mass x gravity.

Can anyone answer this question?
-Dominant- [34]
Hello! Those are called the isotopes of those elements!! They have more than just one form and each has it’s own AMU’s so the multiple numbers above different elements, represent the isotopes of those elements. Carbon is a good one just for one example.

Hope this helps you out! Questions please just ask! Thanks!

Write a net ionic equation for the reaction that occurs when nickel(ii carbonate and excess hydrobromic acid (aq are combined.
seropon [69]
First, we write the reaction equation:
NiCO₃ + 2HBr → NiBr₂ + H₂CO₃

Now, writing this in ionic form:
NiCO₃ + 2H⁺ + 2Br⁻ → NiBr₂ + 2H⁺ + CO₃⁻²

(NiCO₃ is insoluble so it does not dissociate in to ions very readily)

Overall equation:
NiCO₃ + 2Br⁻ → NiBr₂ + CO₃⁻²

The speed of sound in water is 350m/s. If a sound wave has the frequency of 50Hz.
Elena-2011 [213]

Answer:

Explanation

Let, Wavelength = W,

Given, frequency (f) = 50 Hz, wave velocity (V) = 342 m/s

We know, V = f × W

=> 342 = 50 × W

=> W = 342/50 metre

=> W = 6.84 metre

What is the average kinetic energy of 1 mole of a gas at 125 kelvin? (R = 8.314 J/K-mol)
Nookie1986 [14]
The average kinetic energy of a mole of gas can be determined through the equation KE= 1.5 nRT where R is the gas constant equal to 8.314 J/K-mol and T is temperature, The temperature for this problem is 125 Kelvin and n is equal to 1 mole. KE then is equal to 1558.88 Joules.
