Similarly

C = 4 cos255 i + 4 sin225 j

= -1.04 i -3.86 j

R = B + C

= -2.11 i + 4.53j  -1.04 i -3.86 j

= -3.15 i + .67 j

magnitude of R

= √( 3.15² + .67² )

= √( 9.92 +.45 )

= 3.22

Angle Ф

TanФ = - .67 / 3.15

= - .21

Ф = - 12⁰

= 180 - 12

= 168 degree counterclockwise from positive x axis.
