You can’t find the volume of a two dimensional figure, BUT you CAN find the area and the perimeter of a two dimensional figure.
The formula for finding the area of a two- dimensional figure is Length times Width, or LxW. So we would multiply 8 times 8 to get an area of 64 square units.
The formula for finding the perimeter of an object is 2 times Length plus 2 times Width, or 2(L)+2(W). So we would multiply 2 times 8 to get 16. Then we would do the same thing with the other 8 to get 16. Then we would add 16+16 to get a final perimeter of 32.
