Answer:

Explained

Explanation:

When a solid matter changes into a liquid state, the inter molecular forces between the molecules reduces and molecules are more free to move around. hence, we can say that the molecules have freedom when a solid state of an element changes into liquid state. The molecules are less tightely packed in liquid then in solids.

Explain what the ionosphere is and how it interacts with some radio waves.
kumpel [21]

Answer:

Explained

Explanation:

 • Ionosphere is the outermost layer of the Earth's atmosphere,extending from 60 km to 1,000 km altitude.
 • It mainly consists of ionized gases by the solar radiation.
 • It is very important layer to Earth because it influences the radio propagation to distant places on Earth.
 • Being ionized it reflects high frequency(shortwave) radio waves to the sky as well as to the Earth by a technique called "skip" or "skywave" propagation for the communication over long distances.

Where is oceanic crust being formed?
Sever21 [200]
Oceanic crust is being formed it is because of the tectonic plates. Tectonic plates work because of volcanic eruption every time it will erupt the tectonic plates underground will have more pressure on magma, then below there will be a volcano thats why their is a volcano in ocean. The heat rises up then it will open, thats what we call divergent bounderies then their will be earthquakes form. Then another plate opens up and the crust is going down, it will stop if the volcano stops erupting because there is more lava left in volcano then it will go underwater and thats why oceanic crust is being formed.

Superman takes 8 seconds to stop a runway train over a distance of 58 m using a power of
elena-14-01-66 [18.8K]

Answer:

Workdone = 600 Kilojoules

Explanation:

Given the following data:

Time = 8 seconds

Power = 75,000 Watts

Distance = 58 m

To find the work done;

Power can be defined as the energy required to do work per unit time.

Mathematically, it is given by the formula;

Power = \frac {Energy}{time}

Thus, work done is given by the formula;

Workdone = power * time

Workdone = 75000 * 8

Workdone = 600,000 = 600 KJ

Physics question, please answer this ASAP, thanks!
miv72 [106K]

(a) The gravitational force received by each 1 kg mass is 8.66 N.

(b) The magnitude of gravitational acceleration is 8.66 m/s².

(c) The orbital speed of the ISS is 7,663.6 m/s.

(d) The time take for the ISS to orbit round the Earth is 5,558.75 s = 1.54 hours.

Gravitational force received by each 1 kg mass

The gravitational force received by each 1 kg mass is calculated as follows;

F = Gm₁m₂/r²

where;

 • m₁ is mass of Earth
 • m₂ is mass of ISS
 • r is the distance between the ISS and center of Earth

F = (6.67 x 10⁻¹¹ x 5.97 x 10²⁴ x 1) / (6780,000)²

F = 8.66 N

Magnitude of gravitational acceleration

mg = GMm/r²

g = GM/r²

where;

 • M is mass of Earth

g = (6.67 x 10⁻¹¹ x 5.97 x 10²⁴ ) / (6780,000)²

g = 8.66 m/s²

Orbital Speed of the ISS

v = √GM/r

v = √(6.67 x 10⁻¹¹ x 5.97 x 10²⁴ / 6780,000)

v = 7,663.6 m/s

Time of motion of the ISS round the Earth

T = 2πr/v

T = (2π x 6780,000) / (7663.6)

T = 5,558.75 seconds

1 hour = 3600 seconds

= 5,558.75/3600

= 1.54 hours

Thus, the gravitational force received by each 1 kg mass is 8.66 N.

The magnitude of gravitational acceleration is 8.66 m/s².

The orbital speed of the ISS is 7,663.6 m/s.

The time take for the ISS to orbit round the Earth is 5,558.75 s = 1.54 hours.
