Answer:

yes Robert's kinetic energy will be twice as much

if Robert runs twice as fast, then his KE will be 8 times Mary's KE

Explanation:

Kinetic energy KE = \frac{1}{2}mv^{2}

for Robert KE =  \frac{1}{2}(2m)v^{2} =  mv^{2}

for Mary KE = \frac{1}{2}mv^{2}

If you divide Robert KE by Mary KE = mv^{2} /  \frac{1}{2}mv^{2} = 2; yes Robert's kinetic energy will be twice as much

if Robert v is equal to 2v

for Robert KE =  \frac{1}{2}(2m)(2v)^{2} =  4mv^{2}

for Mary KE = \frac{1}{2}mv^{2}

If you divide Robert new KE by Mary's KE = 4mv^{2} /  \frac{1}{2}mv^{2} = 8, if Robert runs twice as fast, then his KE will be 8 times Mary's KE

Dovator [93]
John used smothering as the method to control the harmful invasive plants in his orchard. Smothering is an example of a manual method of control and it works best in a small population of invasive species. Smothering involves covering the invasive species with a barrier that is highly impenetrable for one growing season in order to prevent these species from thriving in the environment.

What is the acceleration of a 349 kg object that moved with a force of 750 N?
zavuch27 [327]

Answer:

<h3>The answer is 2.15 m/s²</h3>

Explanation:

The acceleration of an object given it's mass and the force acting on it can be found by using the formula

a =  \frac{f}{m}  \\

where

f is the force

m is the mass

From the question we have

a =  \frac{750}{349}  \\  = 2.14899713...

We have the final answer as

<h3>2.15 m/s²</h3>

Hope this helps you

A 2kg object initially going 4m/s to the right is later going 8m/s. whats the change in velocity?
Nezavi [6.7K]

The change in velocity is +4 m/s to the right (or -4 m/s to the left).

The object's mass is irrelevant.
