Height for m months = 10 + 3m millimeters

You basically just have to plug in the number of months in the variable m.

So for 8 months

Height for 8 months = 10 + 3x8 millimeters
Height for 8 months = 10 + 24 millimeters
Height for 8 months = 34 millimeters

For 3 Years.
There are 12 months in 1 year.
For 3 years there are 12 x 3 = 36 months

Plug it into the equation
Height for 36 months = 10 + 3x36
Height for 36 months = 10 + 108
Height for 36 months = 118 millimeters

the average rate of change of the function f(x) on the interval -3≤x≤3 is -2.5. If (-3)=14 then which of the following is the va
oksian1 [2.3K]

The average rate of change of <em>f(x)</em> on -3 ≤ <em>x</em> ≤ 3 is given to be

(<em>f</em> (3) - <em>f</em> (-3)) / (3 - (-3)) = -2.5

If <em>f</em> (-3) = 14, then

(<em>f</em> (3) - 14) / (3 + 3) = -2.5

(<em>f</em> (3) - 14) / 6 = -2.5

<em>f</em> (3) - 14 = -15

<em>f</em> (3) = -1

Based on the diagram, which expresses all possible
qaws [65]

The expression that expresses all possible lengths of segment AB is 27 < AB < 81. The correct option is the second option 27 < AB < 81

<h3>Properties of a triangle</h3>

From the question, we are to determine the expression that expresses all possible lengths of segment AB

From one of the properties of a triangle,

The <u>third side</u> of any triangle is greater than the difference of the other <u>two sides</u>; and the <u>third side</u> of any triangle is lesser than the sum of the <u>two other sides</u>

Then, we can write that

AB < 27 + 54

and

AB > 54 - 27

Putting the two inequalities together, we get

54 - 27 < AB < 27 + 54

27 < AB < 81

Hence, the expression that expresses all possible lengths of segment AB is 27 < AB < 81. The correct option is the second option 27 < AB < 81
