A model of a famous statue is 1 and one fourth inches tall. The actual statue is 6 and two thirds feet tall. What is the ratio o
Studentka2010 [4]
First, you need to convert 5 1/4 feet to inches. 5.25 x 12 = 63 inches. The ratio of the height of the model to the height of the actual statue in simplest form is 1/42. I don't know if this is correct but I hope this helps you in any way.

A flash disk has the capacity of storing 1 megabyte of data. How many kilobytes of data can be stored in the same flash disk
Luden [163]

For this sort of problem, you need to be familiar with prefixes.

So:

megabyte = 1 *10^6 bytes

kilobyte = 1*10^3 bytes

and a regular byte would just be 1

Now, you will need to do a conversion:

1megabyte*\frac{1*10^6bytes}{1megabyte}*\frac{1*10^{-3}kilobyte}{1byte}

I'm going to explain this just in case, but we convert megabytes to regular bytes in the first half by using the information I gave you above. (In one megabyte, there are 1*10^6 bytes!)

In the second fraction thought, remember one kilobyte is 1*10^3 bytes. However, you usually only see one of each thing on the bottom of fractions, so you need to add a negative sign to the 3. (technically you could just do \frac{1kilobyte}{1*10^3bytes}, but I think it is more correct to do write it out how I did).

*** They do equal the same thing though! Do whichever way is easier for you!

Now, your answer should be:

10^3 kilobytes (1000 kilobytes)

Hope this helped!

Numbers divisible by 100 are divisible by 5.
Reptile [31]

The additional true statement that would need to be given in order to state the conclusion using the law of detachment is 49,700 is divisible by 100.

What is law of detachment?

Law of detachment states that if a facts is true and its hypothesis is true, then its conclusion is true.

For instance,

Statement A: If there's an increase in Mr Charles salary.

Statement B: Mr Charles buys bicycle for his son.

This means Mr Charles buying bicycle for his son is true because of the increase in income.
