White raven [17]

Answer:

A: Exogenous insulin injections

Explanation:

Insulin injections are used by people who suffer from diabetes. This condition is the result of the liver not producing enough/any insulin. Insulin regulated the release or storage of glucose, as the body needs it.

If there is not enough insulin, there will be too much glucose in the bloodstream, which can be extremely unhealthy.

Polyphagia is a condition where the person feels a sudden rise in appetite. This can be caused by a reduction in blood-glucose levels, as a result of the insulin.

Nuetrik [128]

Answer:

In the Pre-contemplation stage, the individual is unaware that a "problem" exists. Therefore, they have no intention to change, it is only due to pressure from others to "get help."

In the Contemplation stage, the individual is aware of the problem, but they still believe the positive aspects outweigh the negative aspects. They are beginning to think about changing, but they have made no commitment to change.

In the Preparation stage, the individual now has an intention to change, and is beginning to plan how they will change "next month."

In the Action stage, the individual is now ready to change. They are willing to modify their behavior and their environment to overcome the problem.

In the Maintenance stage, the individual has changed their behavior for six or more months. They now focus on not reverting back to their old habits.

16. Explain how a child's social environment affects his or her development.
kondaur [170]

If a child does not have the proper nurture that is required they will not develop properly. If they live a life of isolation their brain will develop without the essential social skills they need and once the brain is too developed you cannot change what it thinks. The child will not be able to do things like form complete grammatically correct sentences or phrases and will be physically, mentally, and emotionally behind everyone else that is around them when they are reintroduced into society. This is also known as a feral child.
