Suppose your are willing to spend 14.75. write an equation that can be used to determine the number of roses that can be included in a bouquet of 1 dozen flowers consisting of roses and carnations

1.50 x 7 = 10.5
0.85 x 5 = 4.25
10.5 + 4.25 = 14.75

So you can only have 7 roses . I found this out using trial and error and then adding on the correct number of carnations to make it a dozen and to make sure it equaled 14.75 .
