The equations are in slope intercept form which is

y = mx+b

m is the slope of the equation. slope is rise/ run meaning that if a slope is 2, you can also say 2/1. this means you go up 2 squares and to the right 1 point. if the slope is negative, it looks like a downhill and the line falls left to right. if the slope is positive, it looks like uphill and the line falls right to left.

the x is what the slope is multiplied by but isn’t significant in graphing because it’s always just x

the b represents the y intercept. the y axis is the vertical line on the graph. for example if b = 7, then the line goes through 7 on the graph and basically tells us that (0,7) is a point on the line.

for y= x + 7, the slope is 1. that equation is just saying y= 1x+7 but the one is unnecessary usually because it’s implied that the x means 1x

i attached a picture of the graphed lines

In one school, half of all students who like math like science as well. Also, in that school, a third of all students who like s
Nimfa-mama [501]

Answer:

2/3

Step-by-step explanation:

If we have 'x' students who like math and 'y' students that like science, we can formulate that:

Half of x likes math and science, and also one third of y likes math and science, so:

(1/2) * x = (1/3) * y

x / y = (1/3) / (1/2)

x / y = (1/3) * 2 = 2/3

So the ratio of the number of students who like math to the number of students who like science is 2/3

A conical paper cup has a radius of 2 inches. Approximate, to the nearest degree, the angle β so that the cone will have a volum
dezoksy [38]
Volume = area of base *height

20 = pir^2 *h

20 = 3,14*4*h

h = 20/12,56 = 1,59 rounded 1,6

- using the triangle formed by radius,the height of cup and the slant height of cup so we can writing that

tan ß = h/r so tan ß = 1,6/2 = 0,8

tan ß = 0,8 so ß = arctan 0,8 = 38,6 degrees so 39 degrees

hope helped
