I can’t help you with the first one because I can’t see the choice. I can help you with the second.
For the second one, you can have two ways of doing this:

-225 - (225 x 20% or 0.20)
-225 x (100% - 20%)

However you do it, your answer should be..
*calculating intensifies*
180. So your answer should be $180 for part B.

For part C, they want to know the cost of the coat PLUS the boots during the sale.

So you can do either this:

(225 + 130) x 80% *cuz 100% - 20% is 80%. Don’t ask where the 100% came from cuz I learned this months ago and my brain hates me so-*

Or this: (225 x 80%) + (130 x 80%)

Either way, your answer would have come out to..
*more calculating intensifies*

284. Yeah. Your answer would be $284.

And if you get it wrong, iz my fault :) not urs

Every year after a new car is
slavikrds [6]

Answer: The value of the car after 3 years is $5,333.333

And no, the relationship is not linear, is an exponential decay.

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that every year, the car loses 1/3 of its value.

So if the initial value of the car is V.

After one year, the new value of the car will be:

Value (1 year) = V - (1/3)*V = (2/3)*V

After another year, the value will be:

Value (2 years) = (2/3)*V - (1/3)*(2/3)*V = V*(2/3)^2

Ok, we already can see that this is an exponential decay.

(So no, this is not a linear relationship).

The value equation as a function of the number of years will be:

Value(N) = V*(2/3)^N

Then if the initial cost of a car is $18,000, and we want to know its value after 3 years, we need to replace V by $18,000 and N by 3 in the above equation:

Value(3) = $18,000*(2/3)^3 = $5,333.333

1.A five - layer of cake weighs half a kilogram per layer. In each layer, the cake is decorated with icing which weighs 15g.3 cand
julia-pushkina [17]

Answer:  2.815 kilograms

======================================================

Work Shown:

1 layer = 0.5 kg

5 layers = 5*(0.5 kg) = 2.5 kg

icing = 15 g = 15/1000 = 0.015 kg

1 candle = 100 g = 100/1000 = 0.1 kg

3 candles = 3*(0.1 kg) = 0.3 kg

------------------------

The five layers combine to 2.5 kg. On top of that we have 0.015 kg of icing, and then finally the three candles add 0.3 kg more weight.

The total weight is therefore: 2.5+0.015+0.3 = 2.815 kilograms
