The volume given likely has an error, but I will work with it to show you how to solve this problem, so you will be able to find the right answer using the same procedure.

V = 6.05 * 10 ml = 0.00605 l

SATP => T = 373.15 K, P = 1 atm

pV = nRT => n = pV / RT

R = 0.0821 atm*l / (K*mol)

n = 1 atm * 0.00605 l / [ (0.0821 atm * l / K*mol) * 273.15 K] = 0.00026978 mol

So, the number of molecules is the number of moles times Avogadro's number:

0.0026978mol = 0.0026978 * 6.022*10^23 molecules = 1.6225 * 10^ 21 molecules

The mass is found using mass = molar mass * number of moles

Ammonia gas = NH3 => molar mass = 14 g/mol + 3 * 1g/mol = 17 g/mol

Mass = 17 g/mol * 0.0026978 mol = 0.4586 g.

With that procedure, you just have to replace the right volume of ammonia.

4 b + 3 o2 → 2 b2o3 if 8 moles of b and 4 moles of o2 are allowed to react, how many moles of b2o3 can be formed?
raketka [301]

The number of moles of b2o3 that will be formed is determined as 4 moles.

Limiting reagent

The limiting reagent is the reactant that will be completely used up.

4 b + 3O₂ → 2b₂O₃

from the equation above;

4 b ------------> 2 b₂O₃

2b ------------> b₂O₃

2 : 1

3O₂ -------------> 2b₂O₃

3 : 2

b is the limiting reagent, thus, the amount of b2o3 to be formed is calculated as;

4 b ------------> 2 moles of b2o3

8 moles -------> ?

= (8 x 2)/4

= 4 moles

Thus, the number of moles of b2o3 that will be formed is determined as 4 moles.

What causes hot air to rise, and cool air to sink?
nataly862011 [7]

Answer:

hot air rises because gases expand as they heat up.When air heats up and expands,its density also increases.The warmer,less dense air effectively floats on top of the colder, dense air below it. This creates a buoyant force that causes warmer air to rise.

cold air sinks because it is heavier as its more dense ( because of closely packed molecules) soits harder for them to move and they absorb less energy. Also, gravity pulls on it more strongly.

Hope it helps :)

_Au2S3 + _H2---> _Au + _H2S
timofeeve [1]
The answer is A because if you place the first two numbers 1 and 3
Au=2
S=3
H=6
It has to equal to the product so then you put in the last two numbers 2 and 3
Au=2
S=3
H=6
