How do I find the holes for this function?
pochemuha
A "hole" is created when a factor can be crossed out of the numerator and denominator.

x^2 - x - 2 factors into (x - 2)(x + 1) both of which can be crossed out or canceled with the factors  in the numerator. That creates very really tiny holes at x = 2 and x = - 1.

PLZZ HELP ME!!!!!! PLZ, I will mark brainliest!!!
Ivahew [28]

Answer:

19 691 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

Last year, it drove 100%, which is 196,910. This year, it drove 90% lesser, so it actually only drove: 100% - 90% = 10%.

10% as a fraction is \frac{10}{100}.

Distance travelled this year = \frac{10}{100} × 196 910

                                              = 19 691 miles

A 4 meter long ladder leans against a 90 degree wall at a 68 degree angle.
Alenkinab [10]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

We use trig to answer these questions:

sin x = opposite side of a triangle / hypotenuse

cos x = adjacent side / hypotenuse

Construct a right triangle with hypotenuse 4 m and lower angle 68 degrees.

The height of the top of the ladder  is then defined by:

sin 68 degrees = height / 4 m, which yields (4 m)(sin 68) = height =

3.71 m

and the distance of the bottom of the ladder from the wall as follows:

cos 68 degrees = horizontal distance / hypotenuse =

1.50 m
