Answer:

The new volume will be 8.2 x 10⁻³ L or 0.0082 L.

Explanation:

Since our temperature remains constant, apply Boyle's Law:

P₁V₁ = P₂V₂

Plug in the initial pressure and volume on the left side, and the new pressure on the right:

9.9(1.033) = 1245(V₂)

V₂ = (9.9(1.033)) / 1245

V₂ = 8.2 x 10⁻³ L or 0.0082 L

A piece of copper alloy with a mass of 85.0 g is heated from 30. °C to 45 °C. In the process, it absorbs 523 J of energy as heat
Ne4ueva [31]

Answer:

410.196 J/[kg*°C].

Explanation:

1) the equation of the energy is: E=c*m*(t₂-t₁), where E - energy (523 J), c - unknown specific heat of copper, m - mass of this copper [kg], t₂ - the final temperature, t₁ - initial temerature;

2) the specific heat of copper is:

c=\frac{E}{m*(t_2-t_1)}; \ => \ c=\frac{523}{0.085*(45-30)}=\frac{523}{1.275}=410.196[\frac{J}{kg*C}].

what is the  concentration of a NaCl solution, in Molarity, if you add 59.76 g of NaCl into 270 mL of H2O
enot [183]

Hey there!

Molar mass NaCl = 58.44 g/mol

Number of moles

n =  mass of solute / molar mass

n = 59.76 / 58.44

n = 1.0225 moles of NaCl

Volume in liters:

270 mL / 1000 => 0.27 L

Therefore:

M = number of moles / volume ( L )

M = 1.0225 / 0.27

= 3.78 M

Hope that helps!
