So lets say you sold ‘x’ number of oranges on Thursday. On Friday you sold double, therefore ‘2x’. And altogether combining the sales on Thursday and Friday you sold 108 oranges. Therefore if we add the number of oranges sold on Thursday and Friday we will get 108 oranges.
The equation will be: x(number of oranges sold on Thursday) + 2x( number of oranges sold on Friday) = 108 (total number of oranges sold altogether)
x + 2x = 108

Hope it helped! Please mark me as Brainliest!

Answer:

x + 2x = 108

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the number of oranges sold on Thursday

The number of oranges sold on Friday is twice as many or 2 times x, 2x

The total sold on  the two days is 108.  Add the number sold on Thursday and Friday together and let it equal to 108

x + 2x = 108

After completing the fraction division 5 divided by five-thirds, Miko used the multiplication shown to check her work. 3 times f
Dmitry [639]

Step-by-step explanation:

5 divided by five-thirds can be written in the fractional form is as follows :

\dfrac{5}{\dfrac{5}{3}}

It can be also written as :

\dfrac{5}{\dfrac{5}{3}}=5\times \dfrac{3}{5}\\\\=3

He has done calculations as follows :

3 x 5/3=3/1 x 5/3 = 15/3 or 5

Miko was wrong in the first step where he multiplied 3 by (5/3). It should be 5 multiplied by (3/5). He has done multiplication incorrectly.
