Answer : The correct options are, Air, bicycles, people, clothes, trees.

Explanation :

Matter : It is made up of many particles or atoms. Matter is a substance that has mass and occupy space.

There are 3 different states of matter which are solid, liquid and gas.

From the given options, air, bicycles, people, clothes, trees are made up of matter. While the other options, sound waves and sunlight are not made up of matters.

Hence, the correct options are, Air, bicycles, people, clothes, trees.

An 18-mm-wide diffraction grating has rulings of 710 lines per millimeter. monochromatic light of wavelength 506 nm wavelength i
aliina [53]
W= 18*10^-3m
N= 18*710 ( because you have 710 slits per mm ) = 12780
lambda = 506*10^-9

The first step is to workout d.
d = w/N
d =18*10^-3m/12780
d =1.41*10^-6m

The second step is to work out the maximum number of m.
Since sin (theta) = less than 1, then m*lambda/d = less then 1,
therefore m= less than d/lambda
( I know thats confusing but trust me )
so m is less than 1.41*10^-6m/506*10^-9
= 2.7
Therefore use m = 2

Lastly put it all into the formula
dsin (theta) = m*lambda so:
theta = sin^-1(m*lambda/d)
theta = sin^-1(2*506*10^-9/1.41*10^-6m)
theta = 45.95 degrees or 46 degrees

At approximately what wavelength of the continuous spectrum will the greatest (maximum) intensity occur when 60-kV electrons str
inna [77]

Answer: 20 pm=20*10^-12 m

Explanation: To solve this problem we have to use the relationship given by:

λmin=h*c/e*ΔV= 1240/60000 eV=20 pm

this expression is related with the bremsstrahlung radiation when a flux of energetic electrons are strongly stopped hitting to a catode. The electrons give their kinetic energy to the atoms of the catode.

A pmdc has a stall torque of 10 and maximum mechanical power of 200. What is the maximum angular velocity?
Nadusha1986 [10]

Answer:

The maximum angular velocity is 20 rad/s

Explanation:

Given;

torque, τ = 10 N

maximum mechanical power, P = 200 J/s

The output power of the pmdc is given as;

P = τω

where;

P is the maximum mechanical power

ω is the maximum angular velocity

ω = P / τ

ω = (200) / (10)

ω = 20 rad/s

Therefore, the maximum angular velocity is 20 rad/s

He angular position of a swinging door is described by θ = 5.00 + 10.0 t + 2.00 t2 [rad]. (a) determine the angular position, an
Inessa05 [86]
(a) The angular position of the door is described by
\theta(t)=5+10t+2t^2 [rad]

The angular velocity is given by the derivative of the angular position:
\omega(t)=10+4t [rad/s]

While the angular acceleration is given by the derivative of the angular velocity:
\alpha(t)=4 [rad/s^2]

We want to find the values of these quantities at time t=3.00 s, so we must substitute t=3.00 s into the expressions for \theta, \omega, \alpha:
\theta(3.00 s)=5+(10)(3.00 s)+2(3.00s)^2 = 53 rad
\omega(3.00 s)=10+4(3.00s)=22 rad/s
\alpha(3.00s)=4 rad/s^2

(b) The door starts from rest, so its initial angular velocity is \omega_i=0 rad/s, and it reaches a final angular velocity of \omega_f=0.750 rad/s with an angular acceleration of \alpha=0.560 rad/s^2. We can find the angular distance covered by the door by using the following relationship:
2 \alpha \theta = \omega_f^2 - \omega_i^2
from which we find
\theta= \frac{\omega_f^2}{2 \alpha}= \frac{(0.750 rad/s)^2}{2 \cdot 0.560 rad/s^2} =0.502 rad
