Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

3 coins pulled are 10 cents or more

5 coins are under 10 cents

so 3 out of 8 coins are 10 cents or more

the jar contains 200 coins

This is a ratio problem  3 is to 8  as  x (an unknown value) is to 200

3/8  = x/200       solve for x

times both sides by 200

200(3/8) = x                          solve directly here using a calculator

600/8  = x                             or keep similifying until you can divide more

300/4  = x                              easily   I kept dividing the numerator and the

150/2   = x                              denominator by 2 until i got 150/2 = 75

75 = x

soldier1979 [14.2K]
Check the picture below.

so, notice, the prism is really just 6 rectangles stacked up to each other at the edges.  So if we just get the area of each rectangle and sum them up, that's the surface area of the prism.

left and right, two 6x5 rectangles

top and bottom, two 17x5 rectangles

front and back, two 17x6 rectangles

\bf \stackrel{\textit{left and right}}{(6\cdot 5)}~~+~~\stackrel{\textit{top and bottom}}{(17\cdot 5)}~~+~~\stackrel{\textit{front and back}}{(17\cdot 6)}

Q19) the answer is 4 as 1 kg = 1000 and 1000 divided by 250 is 4

Q20) 3kg as 225 x 2 = 500 plus 800 x 3 = 2400 and 500 + 2400 = 2900 which is closer to 3000g which is 3kg

Q21) the blue and gold macaw as 1kg = 1000g and 800g is closet to that
