Answer:

8gallons

Step-by-step explanation:

If Joe drinks 10 liters of water every week, then;

10liters = 1 week

After 3weeks;

x litres =3 weeks

Divide both expressions

10/x = 1/3

x = 3*10

x = 30litres

This means he consumes 30litres in 3 weeks

If there are approximately 19 liters in 5 gallons, the;

19litres = 5gallons

To determine the number of gallons consumed in 3 weeks;

30litres = y

Divide both expressions

19/30 = 5/y

Cross multiply

19 * y = 30*5

19y = 150

y = 150/19

y = 7.89

y ≈ 8 (to nearest whole number)

Hence Joe drinks 8gallons of water in 3weeks

Please I need answers Factorize x²-6x+9
miskamm [114]

Answer:

The factors of the given equation are:

x^2-6x+9=(x-3)(x-3)=(x-3)^2

Step-by-step explanation:

We have :

x^2-6x+9

Using middle term splitting theorem to factorize the expression :

x^2-3x-3x+9

x(x-3)+(-3)(x-3)

(x-3)(x-3)

x^2-6x+9=(x-3)(x-3)=(x-3)^2

The factors of the given equation are:

x^2-6x+9=(x-3)(x-3)=(x-3)^2

SOMEONE THAT CAN HELP PLEADE
AleksAgata [21]

Answer:

60 times

Consider the following events for a driver selected at random from a general population.
adoni [48]

Answer:

a. P(AnB)

b. P(B|A)

c. P(A^I|B)

d. P(A or B)

e. P(B^I or A)

Step-by-step explanation:

Since  A= driver is under 25 years old (1)

B = driver has received a speeding ticket (2)

a.The probability the driver is under 25 years old and has recieved a speeding ticket.

this simple means the intersection of both set, which can be written as

P(AnB)

b. The probability a driver who is under 25 years old has received a speeding ticket.

This is a conditional probability, probability that B will occur given that A as occur.

P(B|A)

c. the probability a driver who has received a speeding ticket is 25 years or older.

P(A^I|B)

d. The probability the driver is under 25 years old or has received a speeding ticket.

P(A or B)

e. The probability the driver is under 25 years old or has not received a speeding ticket.

P(B^I or A)

Suppose the American Lung Association stated that approximately 1 out of every 20 deaths in the US last year was from lung cance
tester [92]

Answer: 10

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : The American Lung Association stated that approximately 1 out of every 20 deaths in the US last year was from lung cancer.

Then, the proportion of death will be :_

p=\dfrac{1}{20}=0.05

Now, If there are 200 students in a class,  then the expected number of persons die from lung cancer :-

p\times200\\\\=(0.050)\times200=10

Hence, we expect the number of persons die from lung cancer =10
