I had all four wisdom teeth removed at once, and I was put to sleep for it (as opposed to the "laughing gas" that leaves you mostly awake). I couldn't eat solid food without pain for the rest of the day and much of the day after, but unless I was eating, it wasn't really painful. Maybe a dull ache at first, but Advil helped a lot. That being said, it varies from person to person! I have a pretty high pain tolerance, so people with a lower pain tolerance will have it worse
