1 mole of a gas at STP occupies volume = 22.4 L

And

1 mole of of an element has a mass = Gram molecular mass (if it is molecule and O2 at STP is a molecule O2) = 2 x (atomic mass) =2 x 16 = 32 g

Since 22.4 L at STP = 1 mole =32 g of O2.

Note:

Some gases are monoatomic (like He,Ar,Kr,Xe, etc) in these case 1 mole of gas ay STP will have mass equal to their gram atomic mass.

The chemical equation below shows the reaction of glucose and oxygen.
goldfiish [28.3K]
• Aerobic respiration, photosynthesis

It is aerobic because it requires oxygen to be carried out. Anaerobic on the other hand does not require oxygen.

It’s two products would be the reactants for photosynthesis because in photosynthesis the reverse reaction takes place as glucose is produced along with water from carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O) in the presence of chlorophyll and sunlight.

A solution with [ OH] of 5 x 10-3 has a pH of
CaHeK987 [17]

Answer:

11·699

Explanation:

Given the concentration of hydroxide ion in the solution is 5 × 10^{-3} M

Assuming the temperature at which it is asked to find the pH of the solution be 298 K

At 298 K the dissociation constant of water is 10^{-14}

∴ pH + pOH = 14 at 298 K

pOH of the solution = -log( concentration of hydroxide ion )

∴ pOH of the given solution = - log(5 × 10^{-3} = -0·699 + 3 = 2·301

 pH of the given solution = 14 - 2·301 = 11·699

∴ pH of the solution = 11·699
