HELP FOR 7 AND 8 Pleaseeeee

Mathematics
1 answer:
kati45 [8]3 years ago

I believe the answer to 7 would be;
B. 64 cm

This is was a guess. My reasoning is 8(6) =48 and 8(10)=80, so the number in between would be 64.

Another train of thought was the number in the middle of 6 and 10 is 8 and 8(8) = 64
6, 7, 8, 9, 10
X, X, • , X, X

I believe the answer to 8 would be;
C. 82.5 in

Following the equation, you would multiply 15 and 11 the divide the product by two

15(11)=165
165/2=82.5

Please correct me if I am wrong and have a good day!

A researcher wishes to estimate the proportion of adults who have high-speed Internet access. What size sample should be obtain
slega [8]

Answer: 8359

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for sample size needed for interval estimate of population proportion :-

n=p(1-p)(\frac{z_{\alpha/2}}{E})^2

Given : The significance level : \alpha=1-0.95=0.05

Critical value : z_{\alpha/2}}=z_{0.025}=\pm1.96

Previous estimate of proportion : p=0.32

Margin of error : E=0.01

Now, the required sample size will be :-

n=0.32(1-0.32)(\frac{1.96}{0.01})^2=8359.3216\approx8359

Hence, the required sample size = 8359

What is three squared minus two thirds?
Tems11 [23]

three squared minus two thirds

3^2-\frac{2}{3}

three square = 3 x 3 = 9

\begin{gathered} 3^2-\frac{2}{3}=9-\frac{2}{3} \\ 3^2-\frac{2}{3}=\frac{9}{1}-\frac{2}{3} \end{gathered}

Least common factor of 1 and 3 is 3

\begin{gathered} 3^2-\frac{2}{3}=\frac{9}{1}-\frac{2}{3} \\ 3^2-\frac{2}{3}=\frac{27-2}{3} \\ 3^2-\frac{2}{3}=\frac{25}{3} \end{gathered}

Three squared minus two third is twenty five by three.

The 17th term of an Arithmetic sequence is 51. If the commons difference is 7, what is the first term ?
vovikov84 [41]

Answer:

The first term is:

  • a_1=-61

Step-by-step explanation:

The arithmetic sequence is defined by

a_n=a_1+\left(n-1\right)d

where

a_1 is the first term

d is the common difference

as

the 17th term of an arithmetic sequence is 51.

i.e. a_{17}=51

so

a_n=a_1+\left(n-1\right)d

a_{17}=a_1+\left(17-1\right)d

51=a_1+\left(17-1\right)7         ∵ n = 17, a_{17}=51 , d=7

a_1+112=51                   ∵ \left(17-1\right)\cdot \:\:7=112

a_1=-61

Therefore, the first term is:

  • a_1=-61

How many cylindrical can of bottles 12 cm high and with 6 cm diameter could be filled from a tank containing 125 liters of deter
Orlov [11]

Answer:

368 cans.

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume of 1 can = π r^2 h.

Here h (height) = 12 and r (radius) = 1/2 * 6 = 3 cm.

So V =  π * 3^2 * 12

= 108π cm^3.

The tank hold 125 liters

=  125,000 cm^3, so:

Number of cans that could be filled = 125000/ 108 π

= 368.4.
