$(x_{2},y_{2}):$ coordinates of the second point, $(4,-1)$

Solution:

$d=\sqrt{[(4)-(1)]^{2}+[(-1)-(-5)]^2}\\=\sqrt{(3)^2+(4)^2}\\= \sqrt{9+16} \\=\sqrt{25}\\= 5$

The distance between the two points is 5.
