Answer:

 • 32

Step-by-step explanation:

Diagonals are perpendicular to each other.

The vertical diagonal is angle bisector of both angles.

The given angles are complementary:

 • 2y + 3 + 23 = 90
 • 2y + 26 = 90
 • 2y = 64
 • y = 32

2x+3y = 15
x-3y=3
Solve
Arada [10]
By process of elimination. 3y and -3y get eliminated. Giving you

3x=18

Divide by 3 on each side

Giving you x=6

Plugging it into equation 2 you get

(6)-3y=3

Taking out the parenthesis you have

6-3y=3

Subtract by 6 on each side giving you

-3y=-3

Divide by -3 on each side giving you

y=1

So the answer for this equation is x=6 and y=1 or the ordered pair (6,1)

Please help me.......
MrRissso [65]
So first we need to make all of the denominators the same. To do this we multiply the top and bottom of the fraction. Multiply the top and bottom of 1/2 to get 4/8. then multiply the top and bottom of 3/4 by 2 to get 6/8. then add the numerators: 4+6+7= 17. Your answer is 17/8.

Keep in mind that we are not changing the quantity of the fractions, we are just changing how the whole is divided. Hope this helps (let me know if I confused you and I'll elaborate with a chart)

A 165 inch pipe is cut into two pieces. One piece is four times the length of the other.Find the length of the shorter piece. Ho
coldgirl [10]

Answer:

Length of longer length=132 inches

Length of shorter length=33 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Determine total length of pipe

Total length of pipe=165 inches

Step 2: Derive expression for all the lengths

We can express all these lengths as follows;

L=l1+l2

where;

L=total length

l1=length of longer piece

l2=length of shorter piece

but;

length of longer piece=4×length of shorter piece

replacing;

l1=4l2

replacing;

L=165

l1=4×l2

165=l 2+4 l2

5 l2=165

l2=165/5

l2=33 inches

l1=length of longer length=33×4=132 inches

l2=length of shorter length=33 inches
