Answer:

There are 6 types of characteristics for rocks and minerals.

They are:

- Hardness (is a measure of the mineral's resistance to being scratched, The Mohs Hardness scale is how we measure the hardness, for example : 1= Softest 10= Hardest )

- Lustre ( some minerals are shiny and some are dull, lustre means metallic or non metallic. )

- Color ( Color is a important property of a mineral and helps identify a mineral but doesn't totally identify it.)

- Crystal Structure ( Crystal structure is another way to figure out what type of rock or mineral it is. The mineral or rock must have straight edges, flat sides, and regular angles. )

- Streak ( Streak refers to the colour pouder that the mineral leaves after it scratches it. )

- Cleavage and fracture ( Cleavage is a way the mineral breaks and fracture is a breakage is rough and has jagged edges. )

The greater amount is the solvent and the lesser amount is the solute.

Hence ethanol(200g) which is the greater amount is the solvent here.

And water (145g) which is lesser is the solute here.

How many grams of sodium Phosphate is needed to prepare 5.0 L of a 2.6M solution ?
Diano4ka-milaya [45]

Molarity is the ratio of the moles and the volume. The mass of 2.6 M sodium phosphate solution is 2131.22 gms.

What is mass?

Mass is the product of the moles and the molar mass of the substance. It is given as,

Mass = Moles × Molar mass

The moles from molar concentration is used to calculate mass as:

Mass = Molarity × volume × molar mass

= 2.6 × 5.0 × 163.94

= 2131.22 gms

Therefore, 2131.22 gms is the mass of sodium phosphate.
