Find the volume of a cone with a height of 11 cm and a base radius of 6 cm. Use the value 3.14 for n, and do not do rounding. Be
mrs_skeptik [129]

Given:

The cone with radius 6 cm and height 11cm.

Required:

Find the volume of a cone.

Explanation:

The formula for volume of cone:

V=\frac{1}{3}\pi r^2h

We have radius = 6 cm and height = 11 cm.

So,

\begin{gathered} V=\frac{1}{3}\times3.14\times6^2\times11 \\ V=414.48cm^3 \end{gathered}

Answer:

Volume of cone equals 414.48 cm cube.

When the women's soccer team won the state championship, the parent boosters welcomed the team back to school with a balloon b
slega [8]

Answer:

3 foil, 6 latex

Step-by-step explanation:

First, you can put all of these words words into equations. We know there are 162 ballons (18 players)(9 bouquets). So we can put it in the equation

x + y = 162

Since each foil balloon costs $1.92 and each Latex balloon costs $.19 and they all cost $124.20. We can put it in an equation:

.19x + 1.92y = 124.20

You then get the systems of equations:

x + y = 162

.19x + 1.92y = 124.20

solving for the equation, you get x = 54 and y = 108. BUT, you have to be careful. The problem said "How many of each type of balloon did each bouquet include?" So we need to divide both by 18 for the player because each player recieved on bouquet.

if i want the track to have a circumference of 400 feet what does the diameter of the track need to be?
natta225 [31]

Answer:

The diameter of the track needs to be 127.27 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

* Lets explain how to solve the problem

- The circumference of any circle is C = 2πr, where r is the radius

 of the circle and π is the constant ratio between the

 circumference and the diameter of the circle which

 approximately is 22/7 or 3.14

- The diameter of any circle is twice its radius

* Lets solve the problem

- The circumference of the track is 400 feet

∵ The circumference = 2πr

∵ π = 22/7

∴ 400 = 2 × 22/7 × r

∴ 400 = 44/7 r

- Divide both sides by 44/7 to find r

∴ r = 63.63

∵ The diameter of the circle = 2r

∵ The radius = 63.63 feet

∴ The diameter = 63.63 × 2 = 127.27 feet

* The diameter of the track needs to be 127.27 feet

How do I simplify the answer of (y+3)(y-6)?
vlada-n [284]
This is actually a "product," not an "answer."

Nothing to simplify here. Instead, you are to multiply these two "binomials" together. Perhaps you've heard of the "FOIL method." If so, use it here.

y^2 + 3y - 6y - 18. Combining the middle terms, we get y^2 - 3y - 18. This is the simplest form of the product of (y+3)(y-6). Done.
