<span>X= -0.083….. as fraction.
=> x = -0.083…
=> Let 10x = -0.83
Therefore, 10x and x = -8.3… and  -0.083….
Now let’s subtract both number
=> 9x = -7.47 (let’s round off -7.47 to 7.5)
=> 9x = - 7.5 ( fraction of -7.5 = -15/2)
=> 9x = 15/2
=> x = 16/18
=> therefore x= 16/18 or 5/6</span>

Answer;

= -5/60

Solution and explanation;

let x = -0.08333

10 x = -0.8333

100 x = -8.3333

1000 x = -83.3333

Taking 1000 x - 100 x = 900 x and

-83.333- -8.333 = -75

Thus; 900 x = -75

x = -75/900

= - 5/60

The ratio of soccer balls to players is 5:15
Oksi-84 [34.3K]

Answer:

\frac{1 soccerball}{3 players}

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio of soccer balls to players is 5:15

\frac{Soccer balls}{players}  = \frac{5}{15} \\\\

Simplify. Divide common factors (5):

\frac{Soccer balls}{players}  = (\frac{5}{15}/\frac{5}{5} ) = \frac{1}{3}

There are 3 players per soccer ball.

Directions: for questions 1 through 4, find the diagonal length of each solid figure.
Alex787 [66]
\text{The length of the diagonal is }11.2\text{ mm}

Here, we want to find the diagonal of the given solid

To do this, we need the appropriate triangle

Firstly, we need the diagonal of the base

To get this, we use Pythagoras' theorem for the base

The other measures are 6 mm and 8 mm

According ro Pythagoras' ; the square of the hypotenuse equals the sum of the squares of the two other sides

Let us have the diagonal as l

Mathematically;

\begin{gathered} l^2=6^2+8^2 \\ l^2\text{ = 36 + 64} \\ l^2\text{ =100} \\ l\text{ = }\sqrt[]{100} \\ l\text{ = 10 mm} \end{gathered}

Now, to get the diagonal, we use the triangle with height 5 mm and the base being the hypotenuse we calculated above

Thus, we calculate this using the Pytthagoras' theorem as follows;

\begin{gathered} d^2=5^2+10^2 \\ d^2\text{ = 25 + 100} \\ d^2\text{ = 125} \\ d\text{ = }\sqrt[]{125} \\ d\text{ = }11.2\text{ mm} \end{gathered}

Need help asap !!!!!
Romashka [77]

Answer:

The answer is x = 5.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Δ ABC is an Isosceles triangle with AB = CA

   m∠ ABC = ( 6x + 4 )°

   m∠ BAC = 73°

   m∠ BCA = ( 8y - 7 )°

To Find:

x = ?

Solution:

Properties of an Isosceles Triangle.

  1. Base angles or two angles are equal.
  2. Any two sides are equal.

Here , Δ ABC is an Isosceles triangle with AB = CA

∴  m∠ BAC = m∠ BCA

73= 8y-7\\8y=73+7\\8y=80\\y=\frac{80}{10} \\y=10

∴      m∠ BCA = ( 8y - 7 )°

                       = 8 × 10 - 7

       m∠ BCA  = 73  Which is same as ∠ CAB

Property of a Triangle is Sum of the measures of the angle of a triangle is 180°.

\angle ACB + \angle CAB + \angle CBA = 180

Substituting the values we get,

73 + 73 + (6x+4) = 180\\6x+4=180-146\\6x=34-4\\6x=30\\x=\frac{30}{6} \\x=5\\

The answer is x = 5.
