A hypothesis is and educated guess usually based on prior knowledge, a scientific problem is one that leads to a hypothesis. I'll try my best to explain it but a problem is what is solved with experimentation while the hypothesis is how you think the results will look like.

A resistor, inductor, and a battery are arranged in a circuit. The circuit has an inductance of L = 1 H and a resistance of 1.4
shtirl [24]

Answer:

\tau \approx 7.14 \times 10^{-4}s \approx0.714ms

Explanation:

In a LC circuit The time constant τ is the time necessary for 60% of the total current (maximum current), pass through the inductor after a direct voltage source has been connected to it. The time constant can be calculated as follows:

\tau =\frac{L}{R}

Therefore, the time needed for the current to reach a fraction f = 0.6(60%) of its maximum value is:

\tau =\frac{1}{1.4\times 10^{3}} =7.142857143 \times 10^{-4} \approx7.14 \times 10^{-4}s

I threw a plastic ball in the pool for my dog to fetch. The mass of the ball was 125g. What must the volume be to have a density
Stells [14]

Answer:

250 mL

Explanation:

Density equation:

Density = \frac{mass}{volume}

Variables:

D = density

m = mass

V = volume

Solve:

M = 125 g

D = 0.500 g/mL

V = ?

0.500 g/mL = \frac{125 g}{V}

V = 250 mL

certain part of an aircraft engine has a volume of 2.2 ft3. (a) Find the weight of the piece when it is made of copper. (b) If t
Liono4ka [1.6K]

Answer:

(a) 54669.26 N

(b) 16473.996 N

Explanation:

(a)

From the question,

D = m/v................ Equation 1

Where m = mass of copper, D = density of copper, v =  volume of copper.

make m the subject of the equation

m = D×v...............Equation 2

Given: v = 2.2 ft³ = (2.2×0.0283) m³ = 0.6226 m³

Constant: D = 8960 kg/m³

substitute into equation 2 above

m = 8960×0.6226

m = 5578.496 kg

W = mg

W = 5578.496×9.8

W = 54669.26 N

(b)

Also

Density= mass/volume.

D = m/v ............. Equation 3

Where D = density of aluminum, m = mass of aluminum, v = volume

make m the subject of the equation

m = D×v............. Equation 4

Given: v = 2.2 ft³ = 2.2×0.0283 = 0.6226 m³

Constant: D = 2700 kg/m³

Substitute into equation 4

m = 2700×0.6226

m = 1681.02 kg

But

W = mg

where W = weight, g = acceleration due to gravity

W = 1681.02×9.8

W = 16473.996 N
