So basically, to graph the points, you look at the x axis first. look at the first point. for example,(-2,4) look at the x axis and find -2. then, go up four points. do that to the rest of the points, then connect the dots, labeling the corresponding points you to A,B, and C. based off of this graph, turning it clockwise means to mirror it from the y axis. 90 degrees mean clockwise! from the new graph, bring each point 3 units down. thats it! good luck!

What is a5 in the sequence defined as follows?
an = 5x2^(n-1)
Mandarinka [93]

Given:

The nth term of the sequence is defined as a_n=5\times 2^{n-1}

We need to determine the term a_5 of the sequence.

The term a_5:

The term a_5 can be determined by substituting n = 5 in the nth term of the sequence a_n=5\times 2^{n-1}

Thus, we get;

a_5=5\times 2^{5-1}

Simplifying the expression, we get;

a_5=5\times 2^{4}

Squaring the term, we have;

a_5=5\times 16

Multiplying the expression, we get;

a_5=80

Thus, the value of the term a_5 of the sequence is 80.

Multiplying positive numbers always comes out positive, no matter how many there are. So you can forget about the positive ones.

Every two negative numbers in a multiplication produce a positive.
Another way to say that is: If the number of negative ones is EVEN,
the answer is positive, and if it's ODD, the answer is negative.

That monster product of eight numbers in problem #12 will be negative,
because there are an odd amount of negative factors in it.

galina1969 [7]
Hey!
The answer would be (4,8)
You separate the inequalities first
-2x + 6>-10
-2x + 6<-2
Then you solve the inequalities
X<8
X>4
Then find the intersection
(4,8)
And there you go! Hope this helps!

A B C or D? Multiple choice please help
S_A_V [24]

Answer: a

Step-by-step explanation:

(6z³+3z²-4z+8) - (4z²-3z+2)

all of the numbers in the second set of parenthesis are going to have their signs switched so...

(6z³+3z²-4z+8) + (-4z²+3z-2)

now you add the two sets of parenthesis

6z³ - z² - z + 6
