Since SP bisects angle RST, angles RSP and PST are both equal to each other and, when added together, add up to angle RST.
So to find the measure of RSP you could go through this process:
2(PST)=RST
2(y+5)=5/2y
((distribute))
2y+10=5/2y
((subtract 2y from both sides by making multiplying it by 2/2 and making it 4/2y)
10=1/2y
((multiply both sides by 2 to cancel out the 1/2 and get y alone on one side of the equation and your answer would be))
y=20

Now that you know the value of y, you can plug that into the measure of angle PST, which, as said before, is equal to angle RSP so you would have:
RSP=PST=y+5
RSP=PST=20+5
RSP=25

When 8 is subtracted from a certain number and the result is multiplied by 3 the answer is 21. What is the original number?
Debora [2.8K]
The original number is 15.

Let’s work it out.

First, divide.

21 divided by 3 is 7.

Now, add.

8 + 7 = 15

This is true because...

15 - 8 = 7

Hope this helps, have a great day, stay safe and positive.

2 × 4\sqrt{2}

= \sqrt{2^2+(4\sqrt{2})^2 }

= \sqrt{4+32}

= \sqrt{36}

= 6

Anna [14]

Answer:

The most reasonable estimate for the number of Auto Wheel magazine subscribers who own fewer than 2 is 102

Step-by-step explanation:

We can build an estimate from a sample, and this estimate will be the best estimate for the proportion of the population.

Sample:

50 subscribers

15 own fewer than 2 vehicles

Proportion:

15/50 = 0.3 = 30% own fewer than 2 vehicles.

Based on the data, what is the most reasonable estimate for the number of Auto Wheel magazine subscribers who own fewer than 2 vehicles?

340 subscribers

The most reasonable estimate for this number is 0.3*340.

0.3*340 = 102

The most reasonable estimate for the number of Auto Wheel magazine subscribers who own fewer than 2 is 102
