I split it into parts. The small rectangle sticking out is 2x3 which is a 6 and the big rectangle 4x8 which is 32. The triangle is 8x2/2 which is 8. 6+32+8 = 46

Bob brings home 156.40 his gross is 184.00 what percentage do he bring home
Tanzania [10]

Answer:

85%

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the percentage we will have to start by dividing the amount he brings home by the gross.

156.4 / 184 = 0.85

By doing this, we get the answer in decimal form, which is not what we want.

Multiply it by 100 to convert it into a percent.

0.85 x 100 = 85.

Now, we know that he brings home 85% of his gross.

An educator claims that the average salary of substitute teachers in school districts is less than $60 per day. A random sample
valentina_108 [34]

Answer:

t=\frac{58.875-60}{\frac{5.083}{\sqrt{8}}}=-0.626

The degrees of freedom are given by:

df=n-1=8-1=7

The p value would be given by:

p_v =P(t_{(7)}

Since the p value is higher than 0.1 we have enough evidence to FAIl to reject the null hypothesis and we can't conclude that the true mean is less than 60

Step-by-step explanation:

Information given

60, 56, 60, 55, 70, 55, 60, and 55.

We can calculate the mean and deviation with these formulas:

\bar X= \frac{\sum_{i=1}^n X_i}{n}

s=\sqrt{\frac{\sum_{i=1}^n (X_i -\bar X)^2}{n-1}}

Replacing we got:

\bar X=58.875 represent the mean

s=5.083 represent the sample standard deviation for the sample

n=8 sample size

\mu_o =60 represent the value that we want to test

\alpha=0.1 represent the significance level

t would represent the statistic

p_v represent the p value

Hypothesis to test

We want to test if the true mean is less than 60, the system of hypothesis would be:

Null hypothesis:\mu \geq 60

Alternative hypothesis:\mu < 60

The statistic would be given by:

t=\frac{\bar X-\mu_o}{\frac{s}{\sqrt{n}}}  (1)

Replacing the info we got:

t=\frac{58.875-60}{\frac{5.083}{\sqrt{8}}}=-0.626

The degrees of freedom are given by:

df=n-1=8-1=7

The p value would be given by:

p_v =P(t_{(7)}

Since the p value is higher than 0.1 we have enough evidence to FAIl to reject the null hypothesis and we can't conclude that the true mean is less than 60

Dara ran on a treadmill that had a readout indicating the time remaining in her exercise session. When the readout indicated 24
malfutka [58]

Answer:

The correct option is E. 16 min 12 sec.

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the provided information.

When the readout indicated 24 min 18 sec, she had completed 10% of her exercise session.

That means 24 min 18 sec is 90% of her exercise time.

First convert the 24 min 18 sec into seconds:

24 min 18 sec = 1440+18 = 1458 seconds

Let x represents the 100%.

\frac{1458}{x}=\frac{90\%}{100\%}

x=\frac{1458}{0.9}

x=1620

That means the total time of workout was 1620 seconds or 27 minutes.

Now she had completed 40% of her exercise session, that means the readout will indicate 60% of the time.

Calculate the 60% of 1620 as shown:

1620\times \frac{60}{100}=972

Now convert 972 seconds into minutes as shown:

972 seconds = 960 seconds + 12 seconds = 16 min 12 seconds

Hence, the correct option is E. 16 min 12 sec.

shutvik [7]
There are 7 cards. The number of possible correct picks is 2 (if you pick an 'S') plus 1 (if you pick the 'U') = 3 ways to succeed. So the probability of success is 3/7 ... about 43% .
