Given,
Kinetic energy of the car = 2000 J
speed of the car is doubled
we know,

now, speed of the car is doubled
v' = 2 v

Using

=1/22

Hence, the Kinetic energy would be equal to 8000 J.

Where could convection currents form? Check all that apply.
KatRina [158]

Answer;

 • In a freshwater lake
 • In the atmosphere
 • In Earth's mantle

Explanation;

 • Convection currents are types that cause the process of convection, which the transfer of heat energy that occurs in fluids.
 • Convection currents are circular patterns that occurs in fluids such that the less dense warm fluids rises up while denser cold fluids sinks, it is this movement of less dense warm fluid and denser cold fluids that creates circular patterns that causes the process of convection to take place.
 • Convection currents may occur in the atmosphere where warm air rises while cold denser air sinks or moves towards the bottom, it may also occur in the mantle of the Earth and water or water bodies such as lakes.

You drop a ball from a height of 2.0 m, and it bounces back to a height of 1.5 m. a) What fraction of its initial energy is lost
tangare [24]
The fraction of energy that is lost is 25%, it depends how fast the ball was going until it lost 25% of its energy, the gravitational energy was transferred into the kinetic energy that helped the ball bounce back

Elements from opposite sides of the periodic table tend to form ________.
Ivenika [448]
Ionic compounds is your answer. What happens is one atom donates electron(s) to the other atom, making one positive and the other negative. The opposite atoms attract, forming an ionic bond.

a swimmer experiences a total (absolute) pressure of 117,500 pa in a pool. how far below the surface are they located?
marta [7]

Answer:

Explanation:

We know that the pressure can be calculated in the following way:

p = d·g·h

with d being the density of the water, g the gravitational acceleration and h the depth.

Also d of the water = 1000 kg/m^3 circa and g = 9.8 m/s^2 circa

117,500 Pa = 1000kg/m³ · 9.8m/s² · h

Therefore h = 11,9 m
