Answer:

Minimum average cost = 743.75

Number of dvds to achieve the cost = 62.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the cost equation

C = 0.04x² − 5x + 900

To Obtian the minimum average cost ;

Find dc/dx = 0

Diffentiate cost, c it ith respect to x

dc/dx = 2(0.04x) - 5

dc/dx = 0.08x - 5 = 0

0.08x = 5

x = 5 / 0.08

x = 62.5

Substitute the value of x into C to obtain the minimum average cost

C = 0.04(62.5)² - 5(62.5) + 900

C = 743.75

The distances of a port from 20 differ- ent locations form an AP. If the farthest distance is 300 km, and the nearest distance i
Mkey [24]

Answer:

Required difference = 270/19 km

Step-by-step explanation:

If we consider the AP of distances to be

a, a + r, a + 2r, ..., a + 19r,

where a is the distance of the nearest location from the port and r is the difference between any two successive location.

Given that,

a + 19r = 300 .....(1)

a = 30 ..... (2)

Using (2), from (1), we get

30 + 19r = 300

or, 19r = 300 - 30

or, 19r = 270

or, r = 270/19

Therefore the distance between any two successive location is 270/19 km.

What is the value of 324 + 435 + 546 when written in base 7?
Arada [10]
The sum of 324, 435, and 546 is 1305. If this number were to be expressed by the base of 7, we would need to figure out what value of exponent would satisfy the requirement. This can be done by setting up an equation where 7 to the power of x must equal 1305. Using logarithms, one can solve for x and find it to be 3.6866853. Thus the sum of the aforementioned numbers, expressed in by the base of 7, is 7^3.6866853.
