Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

I could be wrong but I think it's 3(p-5)+2s

In the problem it states that Sushmila has a coupon, 5 off for each package. She plans to buy 3 packages of henna powder, and 2 squeeze bottles.

2s = number of squeeze bottles

+ = and

3p = number of packages

-5 = amount off each package of henna powder

So I figured it would go like this:

number of packages( amount off each package ) and number of bottles, or

3(p-5)+2s.

It most likely won't be any other answer because:

3p + 2(s - 5) = amount of packages plus 2 ( bottles minus 5 dollars )

3p - 5 + 2s = amount of packages minus 5 dollars off the total, plus 2 bottles

3(p - 5 + 2s) = 3 ( package minus 5 dollars off the total plus 2 bottles )

(I don't know if this makes sense, and I'm not entirely sure that I put down the correct answer)

14. Find the slope of a line parallel to 3y - 6x = 9. (Lesson 3-4)
DanielleElmas [232]

\bf 3y-6x=9\implies 3y=6x+9\implies y=\cfrac{6x+9}{3}\implies y = \cfrac{6x}{3}+\cfrac{9}{3} \\\\\\ y = \stackrel{\stackrel{m}{\downarrow }}{2}x+3\qquad \impliedby \begin{array}{|c|ll} \cline{1-1} slope-intercept~form\\ \cline{1-1} \\ y=\underset{y-intercept}{\stackrel{slope\qquad }{\stackrel{\downarrow }{m}x+\underset{\uparrow }{b}}} \\\\ \cline{1-1} \end{array}

a parallel line to that one above, will have the same exact slope, since parallel lines have the same slope.
