Sublimation. Unacceptable impulses are a form of

energy that needs to go somewhere. Sublimation is a

defense that redirects such energy into acceptable

behavior. For example, a person who easily becomes

angry begins exercising in a gym where he can vent

some of his anger.

Sigmund Freud would say he's employing a defense mechanism called displacement. It is an oblivious barrier component whereby the mind substitutes either another point or another question for objectives felt in their unique shape to be unsafe or inadmissible. The dislodging works in the psyche unknowingly, its transference of feelings, thoughts, or wishes being regularly used to alleviate uneasiness even with forceful or sexual motivations.

The tires on your truck have 0.35 m radius. In a straight line, you drive 2600 m. What is the angular displacement of the tire,
Travka [436]
1) In a circular motion, the angular displacement \theta is given by
\theta = \frac{S}{r}
where S is the arc length and r is the radius. The problem says that the truck drove for 2600 m, so this corresponds to the total arc length covered by the tire: S=2600 m. Using the information about the radius, r=0.35 m, we find the total angular displacement:
\theta = \frac{2600 m}{0.35 m} =7428 rad

2) If we put larger tires, with radius r=0.60 m, the angular displacement will be smaller. We can see this by using the same formula. In fact, this time we have:
\theta = \frac{2600 m}{0.60 m}=4333 rad

An electron of mass 9.11x10^-31 kg has an initial speed of 2.40x10^5 m/s. It travels in a straight line, and its speed increases
egoroff_w [7]

Answer: A) Force = 3.841*10^-18 N.

B) force (f) is 4.30* 10^12 times greater than the weight (Fg).

Explanation: mass of electronic charge = 9.11*10^-31kg

v = final velocity = 6.80*10^5 m/s

u = initial velocity = 2.40 * 10^5 m/s

S= distance covered = 4.8cm = 0.048m

a = acceleration

Since the acceleration of the electron is assumed to be constant, newton's laws of motion are valid.

Thus, recall that

v² = u² + 2aS

(6.80*10^5)² = ( 2.40*10^5)² + 2*a( 0.048)

46.24 * 10^10 = 5.76 * 10^10 + 0.096a

46.24 *10^10 - 5.76* 10^10 = 0.096a

40.48* 10^10 = 0.096a

a = 40.48 * 10^10/0.096

a = 4.2167*10^12m/s².

Force = mass * acceleration

Force = 9.11*10^-31 * 4.2167*10^12

Force = 3.841*10^-18 N.

Weight =Fg= mg where g = acceleration due gravity = 9.8m/s²

Fg= 9.11*10^-31 * 9.8

Fg = 8.9278* 10^-30 N

By comparing the force and the weight, we have that

F/Fg = 3.841 * 10^-18/8.9278 * 10^-30 = 4.30* 10^12.

This implies that the force (f) is 4.30* 10^12 times greater than the weight (Fg).

Describe a sea-level transgression
Eduardwww [97]
Some geographic areas endure cycles between these two processes called transgressive-regressive sequences. The rocks of western Pennsylvania are one example. Sandy beaches often leave observable records of transgression by covering marsh sediments that were once behind it as it moves inland. The original sediments are then covered by even deeper water sediments, which geologists can trace and record. It is generally believed that transgression will increase in accordance with rising sea levels worldwide

What is the relationship between amplitude and frequency of a wave?.
kondaur [170]

Answer:

The relationship between the wave's amplitude and frequency is such that it is inversely proportional to the frequency. The amplitude decreases as the frequency increases. The amplitude increases as the frequency decreases. The higher the energy of a wave, the higher the amplitude. The lower the energy, the lower the amplitude. Energy has no effect on wavelength, speed, or frequency, only the amplitude.
