Answer:

a) 0.03050 = 3.050 × 10-²

b) 0.256 x 10°= 2.56 × 10-¹

c) 25.005 10 = 2.500510 × 10¹

Explanation:

Scientific notations is a way of making very large or very small numbers more comprehensive or simplified. It involves the use of power of ten (10^). The numbers are represented to the power of ten. The following format is used:

a x 10^b

where; a is a number or decimal number between 1 and 10 i.e less than 10 but greater than 1

b is the power of ten

To write a number in scientific notation,

- we move the decimal point right or left depending on whether we're trying to reduce or increase the number

- we count the number of times the decimal point was moved. This serves as the b in the format above.

For example,

a) 0.03050 = 3.050 × 10-²

The decimal point was moved rightward twice. This caused the ^-2 power.

b) 0.256 x 10°= 2.56 × 10-¹

The decimal point was moved rightward once. This caused the ^-1 power.

c) 25.005 10 = 2.500510 × 10¹

The decimal point was moved leftward once. This caused the ^1 power.

what are the similarities and differences between distillation, azeotropic distillation, extractive distillation and liquid-liqu
DedPeter [7]

Explanation:

- Simple Distillation: its a separation method that can be used when the two or more liquids in the mix have at least 50 degrees of difference between their boiling points.

-Azeotropic distillation: is a technique to break an azeotrope (constant boiling point mixtures), that can't be separated by simple distillation, by adding another component to generate a new azeotrope (between one initial component and the new one added) with lower boiling point.

-Extractive distillation: is a process to separate mixtures with close boiling points by adding a miscible, high boiling or none volatile solvent to increase the relative volatility of the liquids in the mix, this increases the separation factor. It differences from the azeotropic method because it doesn't form an azeotrope.

-Liquid-liquid extraction: is a method to separate compounds based on their relative solubilities in two different immiscible liquids.

After describing all the methods we can conclude that all of them are methods to separate substances based on their physical properties, this is their similarity. The difference between this method is the property it uses to separate (solubility in the case of extraction and boiling point in the case of destinations), the cases in which they bare used (when the liquids difference in boiling points is bigger [simple] or close [attractive and azeotropic]) and the formation of azeotropes (present in azeotropic and absent in extractive).

I hope you find this information useful and interesting! Good luck!

For the reaction Cu2S(s)⇌2Cu+(aq)+S2−(aq)Cu2S(s)⇌2Cu+(aq)+S2−(aq), the equilibrium concentrations are as follows: [Cu+]=1.0×10−5
klio [65]

Answer:

1x10⁻¹²

Explanation:

 • Cu₂S(s) ⇌ 2Cu⁺(aq) + S²⁻(aq)

At equilibrium:

 • [Cu⁺] = 1.0x10⁻⁵ M
 • [S²⁻] = 1.0x10⁻² M

The equilibrium constant for the the reaction can be written as:

 • Keq = [Cu⁺]² * [S²⁻]

[Cu⁺] is squared because it has a stoichiometric coefficient of 2 in the reaction. Cu₂S has no effect on the constant because it is a solid.

Now we can calculate the equilibrium constant:

 • Keq = (1.0x10⁻⁵)² * 1.0x10⁻² = 1x10⁻¹²

decomposition of hydrogen peroxide produce water and oxygen . calculate the volume of O2 formed from the decomposition of 150 mL
Ugo [173]

Explanation:

2H2O2 => 2H2O + O2

Moles of hydrogen peroxide = 0.150dm³ * (0.02mol/dm³) = 0.003mol .

Moles of oxygen = 0.0015mol.

Volume of oxygen = 0.0015mol * (22.4dm³/mol) = 0.0336dm³.

Please help me. ? :)
BaLLatris [955]

Answers and explanation:

To answer these questions you use a periodic table.

A is In because it has 49 protons and In is element number 49.

B is 27 because Co is element number 27.

C is 73 because Ta is element number 73.

D is 49 because the number of electrons in an atoms is always equal to the number of protons.

E is 56 because the atomic number of Ba is 56.

F is 54 because 56 - 54 = 2. The charge is equal to the number of protons minus the number of electrons.

G is 66. The number of neutrons is equal to the atomic mass minus the number of protons. 115 - 49 = 66.

H is 108 because 181 - 73 = 108.

I is 32. The atomic mass of an element is equal to the amount of protons plus the amount of neutrons. So 16 + 16 = 32.
