Answer:

True.

Explanation:

A product life cycle can be defined as the stages or phases that a particular product passes through, from the period it was introduced into the market to the period when it is eventually removed from the market.

Generally, there are four (4) stages in the product-life cycle;

1. Introduction.

2. Growth.

3. Maturity.

4. Decline.

Life cycle assessment (LCA) also known as life cycle analysis can be defined as an environmental management technique which is typically used by industries to assess, monitor and analyze the impact of the various stages of the life-cycle of their products, systems, processes or activities and services on the environment i.e the cradle to grave impacts.

Generally, life cycle assessments requires a thorough evaluation of the raw materials and energy that are being used in the manufacturing process of a product or service, as well as determining the various emissions into the environment respectively.

For example, in the manufacturing process of a product, life cycle assessment evaluates the impact of the product from raw material extraction (cradle) to production (finished product), distribution, use, and the disposal of the product (grave).

Hence, life cycle assessments are used by various industries to identify and evaluate the total energy impacts of their products and services.

Mariana [72]

The design speed was used for the freeway exit ramp is 11 mph.

<h3>Design speed used in the exit ramp</h3>

The design speed used in the exit ramp is calculated as follows;

f = v²/15R - 0.01e

where;

  • v is designated speed

v = ωr

v = (θ/t) r

θ = 90⁰ = 1.57 rad

v = (1.57 x 19.4)/2.5 s

v = 12.18 ft/s = 8.3 mph

<h3>Design speed</h3>

f = v²/15R - 0.01e

let the maximum superelevation, e = 1%

f = (8.3)²/(15 x 19.4) - 0.01

f = 0.22

0.22 is less than value of f which is 0.4

<h3>next iteration, try 10 mph</h3>

f = (10)²/(15 x 19.4) - 0.01

f = 0.33

0.33 is less than 0.4

<h3>next iteration, try 11 mph</h3>

f = (11)²/(15 x 19.4) - 0.01

f = 0.4

Thus, the design speed was used for the freeway exit ramp is 11 mph.

Problem Statement: Air flows at a rate of 0.1 kg/s through a device as shown below. The pressure and temperature of the air at l
Tema [17]

Answer:

The answer is "+9.05 kw"

Explanation:

In the given question some information is missing which can be given in the following attachment.

The solution to this question can be defined as follows:

let assume that flow is from 1 to 2 then

Q= 1kw

m=0.1 kg/s

From the steady flow energy equation is:

m\{n_1+ \frac{v^2_1}{z}+ gz_1 \}+Q= m \{h_2+ \frac{v^2_2}{2}+ gz_2\}+w\\\\\ change \ energy\\\\0.1[1.005 \times 800]-1= 0.01[1.005\times 700]+w\\\\w= +9.05 \ kw\\\\

If the sign of the work performed is positive, it means the work is done on the surrounding so, that the expected direction of the flow is right.

Volgvan

Answer:

"Macro Instruction"

Explanation:

A macro definition is a rule or pattern that specifies how a certain input sequence should be mapped to a replacement output sequence according to a defined procedure. The mapping process that instantiates a macro use into a specific sequence is known as macro expansion.

It is a series of commands and actions that can be stored and run whenever you need to perform the task. You can record or build a macro and then run it to automatically repeat that series of steps or actions.
