What is the vertical height, h?
bixtya [17]

Answer:

<h2>             6.2</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

s = 10 so ¹/₂s = 5

Pythagorean theorem:

h^2+(\frac12s)^2=8^2\\\\h^2+5^2=8^2\\\\h^2=64-25\\\\h^2=39\\\\h=\sqrt{39}=6.2449979....\approx6.2

PLEASE HELPP WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST!!
umka2103 [35]
Well the line is straight so it will always have the same slope no matter what points you use but to solve it mathematically you do change in y/change in x

(3.5-(-1))/(4-(-5))
4.5/9 = 0.5
So the slope is 0.5

Now pick 2 random points on the line
(-3,0) and (5,4)
Now do the same thing for these 2 points

(4-0)/5-(-3)
4/8 = 0.5

So no matter what points the slope is always 0.5

Identify the domain of the graphed function.
AURORKA [14]

Answer: Option A is correct

(-5,3) U (3,6]

Step-by-step explanation:

Domain of a function is the complete set of values that the independent variable can assume.

In the given graphed function we can see that the minimum value of independent variable (x) is -5 and the maximum value is 6, wherein the values -5 and 3 do not belongs to x.

This set of values is represented as

(-5,3) U (3,6]

Hope it helps.

Thank you.

Ethan and Adrian are reading the same book. At the beginning of the month, Ethan was on page 18 and Adrian was on page 45. Ethan
xxMikexx [17]

The equations are e = 18+12t and a = 45+9t

Adrian will be father along in the book after 4 days. She will be 15 pages ahead of Ethan

Ethan's page number at the beginning of the month = 18

Adrian's page number at the beginning of the month = 45

Pages read by Ethan each day = 12 pages

Pages read by Adrian each day = 9 pages

Let e represent the page of the book that Ethan is on at the end of t days into the month. Let a represent the page of the book that Adrian is on at the end of t days into the month.

Formulating the equation we get the following:

e = 18 + 12t

a = 45 + 9t

Finding the page number of both Ethan and Adrian after 4 days by substituting the values in the equations we get:

e = 18+12(4)

e = 66

a = 45 + 9(4)

a = 81
