Solve the following system: y = 5x 3x + 2y = 52 Your answer:​

• y = 5x ............. (i)
• 3x + 2y = 52 ............ (ii)

After putting the value of y into the eq. (ii) ,

$\sf 3x + 2 \times 5x = 52$

$\sf ⇒ \: 3x + 10x = 52$

$⇒ \sf13x = 52$

$\sf ⇒x = 4$

After putting the value of x into the eq. (1)

$\sf \: y = 5 \times 4$

$⇒ \sf y = 20$

Hence, the value of x is 4

& the value of y is 20.
