Atherosclerosis leads to serious problems, lowers the sensitivity to heat and cold and increasing your risk of burns due to narrowing of arteries which decrease the flow of blood to the lower region of the body. We know that our organs needs blood to function properly so this decrease in the flow of blood leads to starvation of the muscles and other tissues in the lower body. Poor circulation of blood to lower region can cause pain in the legs.
