Answer: Your body sliding against the car seat created friction, making it created potential energy. The friction is a form of electricity, and the car doors metal is a conductor of electricity. That potential energy was turned into kinetic once the metal attracted the electricity, thus making a spark.

Hope this helps ^_^

A small plane flies at 200 km/h in still air. If the wind blows directly out of the west at 50.0 km/h, (a) in what direction mus
GenaCL600 [577]

Answer:

a)θ=74.03°  (N-E)

b)t=1.56 hr

Explanation:

Given that

Plane speed = 200 km/h

Wind speed = 55 km/h

Now from diagram

V is the resultant velocity of plane

200^2=V^2+55^2

V=192.28 km/h towards north

From triangle ABC

cos\theta =\dfrac{55}{200}

θ=74.03°

Given that

d=300 km

We know that

d = V x t

300 = 192.28 x t

t=1.56 hr

Why is it important for a scientist to be open-minded but skeptical?
insens350 [35]
It’s important for a scientist to be open-minded because they need to be able to understand or creative anything that was never thought about. It’s also important for a scientist to be skeptical because some ideas or products that they hear about can have false factors. I hope this helped!

What is the effect on the gas’ pressure when compressing a gas to 1/3 of its volume? Explain
denis23 [38]

Explanation:

It's pressure become three times larger because according to Boyles Law the pressure of fixed mass of gas is inversely proportional to it's volume provided that temp remains constant. That means a reduction in volume, will result in an increase in pressure and vice versa.
