8n + 25 = 65

8n = 65 - 25

8n = 40

8n/ 8 =40/8

n = 5..

firstly I made 8n the subject of the formula by taking 25 to the other side which gives u 8n = 65 - 25and the reason why the sign changed chnged os because when send a number to the other side the sign changes and then i divided both sides by 8

Tania bought 4 more pounds of pears than Wilma. Together, Tania and Wilma bought 18 pounds of pears.
horrorfan [7]
The equation would be (x+4)+x=18. X stands for the amount of pears Wilma bought, and (x+4) is the amount of pears Tania bought (because she bought four more pounds than Wilma). (X+4)+x=18 2x+4=18 (now you subtract four from both sides) 2x=14 (to get x by itself, divide both sides by 2) X=7 Wilma bought 7 pounds of pears :3

Answer:

p'(4) = -3

q'(8) = \frac{1}{4}\\

Step-by-step explanation:

For p'(4):

p(x) = f(x)g(x) \\ p'(x) = \frac{d}{dx}(f(x)g(x)) \\ p'(x) = f'(x)g(x) +f(x)g'(x)

p'(4) = f'(4)g(4) + f(4)g'(4) \\ p'(4) = (-1)(3) +(7)(0) \\ p'(4) = -3

For q'(8):

q(x) = \frac{f(x)}{g(x)} \\ q'(x)= \frac{d}{dx}(\frac{f(x)}{g(x)}) \\ q'(x) = \frac{f'(x)g(x) -f(x)g'(x)}{{g(x)}^2}

q'(8) = \frac{f'(8)g(8) -f(8)g'(8)}{{g(8)}^2} \\ q'(8) = \frac{(2)(2) -(6)(\frac{1}{2})}{{2}^2} \\ q'(8) = \frac{4 -3}{4} \\ q'(8) = \frac{1}{4}

Answer:

The input for the method is a continuous function f, an interval [a, b], and the function values f(a) and f(b). The function values are of opposite sign (there is at least one zero crossing within the interval). Each iteration performs these steps: Calculate c, the midpoint of the interval, c = a + b2.
