Johnny is collecting pennies. He begins the month of February with 34 pennies in his collection. He collects 13 pennies in the f
Nataly [62]

Answer:

69 pennies

Step-by-step explanation:

Below is the given data:

Pennies at the starting of February = 34

Pennies in 1st week of February = 13

Pennies in 2nd week of February = 9

Pennies in 3rd week of February = 6

Pennies in 4th week of February = 7

To find the number of pennies at the end of February just add all the pennies.

At the end of February, the number of pennies = 34 + 13 + 9 + 7 +6 = 69 pennies

On a set of blueprints, the length of a building is 16 inches. The actual building is 85 1/3 feet long. Which of the following i
dusya [7]

Answer:

1 : 64

Step-by-step explanation:

We require the dimensions to be the same units

1 foot = 12 inches , then

85 \frac{1}{3} feet = \frac{256}{3} × 12 = 256 × 4 = 1024 inches

Scale is then

16 in : 1024 in ( divide both parts by 16 )

= 1 : 64

Early diagnosis and treatment of malaria are necessary components in the control of malaria. The gold-standard light microscopy
docker41 [41]

Answer:

a) 0.9548

b) 0.0452

Step-by-step explanation:

Specificity of test:

The specificity of a test is the true negative rate, that is, the proportion of people without the disease that test negative.

Sensitivity of test:

The sensitivity of a test is the true positive rate, which is the proportion of people with the disease that test positive.

a. What proportion of the people who test positive for Malaria would we expect to actually have the disease?

This is the sensitivity of the test, which is of 95.48%, so the proportion if 0.9548.

b. What proportion of people who test positive for Malaria will not have the disease?

True positive rate is of 95.48%.

1 - 0.9548 = 0.0452

So the proportion of people who test positive for Malaria will not have the disease is 0.0452.

Will someone please answer this?
AfilCa [17]
Ok so you would find the area of all of the shapes and then add it together. to find the area of the square you would multiply 8 by 8 to get 64. Then you would go on to finding the area of the four triangles which can be found by multiplying the base times the height to get 48. after you do this you would divide 48 by two to get 24 which is your area for the triangles. since there are four triangles you would multiply 24 by 4 to get 96. Finally to get the surface area you add 96 with 64 to get your surface area which is 160 in^2
