if we are trying to say those lines are equal length than surely the equations must be equal value otherwise they aren't equal so we can probably set them equal to each other and solve for x right? 2x+6=3x-6 subtract 6. 2x=3x-12. subtract 3x. -1x=-12. divide by -1 so x=12.
