The charge nurse should try to remain calm and not take it personally. She should try to listen carefully to the client's wife and actively sympathize with her. She should gracefully apologize, thank her and then take the problem up with the nursing staff to see where the problem was.and follow up with the client or client's wife.

This will result in the kidneys filtering out more water, which will then lead to polyuria (excessive urine). It's common in diabetics who are going through/have DKA (Diabetic Ketoacidosis).
