Answer:

Plate tectonics and how they effect volcanoes

Explanation:

Plate tectonics are when the plates (the seperate pieces of earth's crust)

crash into each other, being the main cause of natural disasters such as earthquakes, however the collision of two plates can push magma from the mantle into a crevice in the crust, forming a volcano.

I hope that this helped you.

TECTONIC PLATES

a theory explaining the structure of the earth's crust and many associated phenomena as resulting from the interaction of rigid lithospheric plates which move slowly over the underlying mantle.
VALCONES AND TECTONIC

Most volcanoes form at the boundaries of Earth's tectonic plates. These plates are huge slabs of the Earth's crust and upper mantle, which fit together like pieces of a puzzle. These plates are not fixed, but are constantly moving at a very slow rate. They move only a few centimeters per year.

How do properties of water break down rocks?
Vlada [557]

Answer:

Explanation:

Freezing water can break rock without any change in the minerals that form the rock (physical weathering). This usually produces small particles and sand. Water with dissolved gases and other chemicals causes the minerals in rocks to be changed, leading to the deterioration of the rock (chemical weathering).

Complete the ionization reaction of butanoic acid (ch3ch2ch2cooh) in water. include all hydrogen atoms and charges.
Vlada [557]
The dissociation of butanoic acid in water gives CH3CH2CH2COO^- and H+

This is according to the following equation

CH3CH2CH2COOH +  H2O   --->CH3CH2CH2COO^-   +   H^+

In the solubility lab, sugar was the _____________ and water was the _______________.
Rasek [7]

In a homogenous mixture, sugar was the solute and water was the solvent. Solubility is the maximum amount of a solute that dissolves in a given amount of solvent at a constant temperature. Solutes are more soluble in a given solvent at higher temperatures. Therefore, when temperature increases, the solubility of the solute also increases.

Moreover, the solubility of the substance ranges from infinitely soluble such as alcohol in water, to poorly soluble like silver chloride in water and the species that dissolves, the solute, can be another liquid, gas or a solid.
