Answer: 4

Explanation:

Fungi(mushrooms) are heterotrophs and they cannot fix nitrogen from the atmosphere and they must obtain it from their environment. They are using complex organic compounds as a source of carbon.

Most plants can fix carbon which are 1. Grass 2. Maple trees 3. Algae and hat are why they are incorrect answers because from this question only 4. mushrooms can fix carbon.

Name and describe at least 3 ways carbon moves between reservoirs.
skelet666 [1.2K]
Carbon compounds regulate the Earth's temperature, make up the food that sustains us, and provide energy that fuels our global economy. Most of Earth's carbon is stored in rocks and sediments. The rest is located in the ocean, atmosphere, and in living organisms. These are the reservoirs through which carbon cycles.

Secretors (genotypes ss and ss) secrete their a and b blood group antigens into their saliva and other body fluids, while nonsec
Solnce55 [7]
As you can see from the image presented below when parents with AB Ss and AA ss genotypes cross we get three distinct phenotype groups.
Marked in red are the individuals whose A type blood we can determine from the saliva because they have at least one S allele.
Marked in light green are the individuals whose AB type of blood we can determine from the saliva too.
And marked in orange are the individuals that are homozygous recessive for the s allele, and we could not determine their blood type from their saliva.

I will give you 20 points who every answers this one!
stiv31 [10]
I’m almost 100% sure it’s D, because environmental factors can induce a mutation. A mutation can be beneficial but it can also be harmful, so it’s neither B or C, and it can’t be A, because mutations can come from natural selection as well. So it’s D.

If polar is positive and non-polar is negative then why can’t a polar molecule pass through the non-polar phospholipid membrane
Ierofanga [76]

Answer:

Because of the chemical and structural nature of the phospholipid lipid by layer the lipid soluble molecule can just pass the lipid membrane and some small molecules can also pass freely.

Explanation:

as we know that the homeostasis is an important process for a  living cell to maintain it self so for the the exchange of materials between the external and internal environment is must so for that it exchange material with the outside environment of the cell.as the cell membrane is semipermeable(mean allow some molecule to pass(lipid soluble) and not others(lipid non soluble) to pass through the membrane.the cell membrane is selectively permeable due to its nature and chemical composition the chemical composition is lipid and  phosphate and glycerol(head) with fatty acid that may b saturated or unsaturated(tail).so finally all those molecule which are polar can not pass through the membrane and  non polar can pass the membrane. The size of the molecule is also a factor on which the permeability depends.
